Rescuers test the ground as mock victims lie in the background, after a plane sprayed ‘toxic’ chemicals over a stadium as part of Euratox 2002, the first EU civil protection drill, at the military base in Canjuers, France on Monday. Emergency workers from Austria, Greece, Spain, Italy and Sweden joined French soldiers for training on how to respond to terrorist attacks that employ weapons of mass destruction. The exercise ends today.
