EPEK AND KKE: Two committees of the EPEK party have made the following announcement: «The Communist Party (KKE) has decided to return to its old tactics and has asked the EPEK party and generally the progressive center to align itself with it in a ‘united democratic front’ for the purpose of ‘averting risks threatening the country.’ The KKE’s goals are obvious. Profiting from the current situation, it wants to recreate conditions for deceiving the people and creating a new EAM (National Liberation Front). EPEK’s committees declare that these proposals by the KKE are unacceptable and contrary to the interests of the Greek people…» MANOS HADJIDAKIS: Tomorrow evening, there will be a concert of works by modern American and Greek composers in the hall of the American Information Service. Moutsios. GRIGORIS M.
