Receiving compensation

The latest snowstorm has highlighted the need to have a permanent compensation mechanism in place for all networks – road, energy and telecommunications. 

Providers – state-run or private – must be bound by clear rules, so that injured parties do will not have to get involved in costly and long-running litigation in the event of a service disruption.

If damages become costly, one can expect them to become more rare.
