The housing impasse

Data show that home ownership is constantly decreasing in Greece, changing an enduring social characteristic.

This makes the housing shortage more noticeable: an increasing number of Greek men and women do not have the means to buy their own house – nor even to rent – as the housing stock is constantly shrinking.

This impasse will not be resolved by the market alone.
