Keep justice safe from harm

Judges and prosecutors have a key role to play at this extremely crucial turning point in the country?s history.

It has become clear by now that they are the only ones who can take up the Herculean task of cleaning up the Augean stables of graft and corruption.

They have to do so in a swift and professional fashion — without succumbing to political pressure or public relations stunts.

There are many hardworking professionals serving in the country?s judicial system. The state must make sure that they are paid a decent wage and that they have all the necessary means at their disposal to carry out serious investigations. Above all, the authorities must make sure they are safe from danger.

As it is clear for anyone to see, there are a number of high-profile cases that must finally be brought to justice. A number of these cases seem to touch on big and murky interests.

We have reached a point where the life of those who are looking into such cases is at risk. Protecting them against outside threats is of the utmost importance.
