MITSOTAKIS AND MARIKA: Last Saturday, June 6, the marriage of Mr Constantine Mitsotakis and Miss Marika M. Yiannoukou took place at the church of Aghios Constantinos, in Glyfada. The best man was Dr L. Lantzounis, who has recently returned from the United States. The bride was very lovely, wearing a gown of Chantilly lace with a long train held in place by a small crown. The mother of the bride, Mrs M. Yiannoukou, was very elegant in a blue-green organza dress. The mother of the groom, Mrs S. Mitsotaki, was wearing a black and white print. The charming little bridesmaids for the service, Misses A. Mitsotaki, Akrivou, Spentzou and Vrana, were in identical white dresses and hats. Once the ceremony had been concluded, there was a large reception at the estate of Mr and Mrs M. Yiannoukou, where the garden was a magnificent spectacle of flowerbeds and colored lights. The champagne flowed generously and the dancing continued unabated until dawn, concluding with Cretan folk dances that were led by the bride. Among the more than 300 guests were Mrs and Mrs Sophocles Venizelos, Mr Nikolaos Plastiras, Mr George Papandreou, Mr and Mrs Constantine Karamanlis, Mr and Mrs Evangelos Averoff, Mr K. Rodopoulos and Mr and Mrs A.Tsoukalas.
