Time to clear up the confusion
The Greek public is in a state of complete confusion regarding the government’s plans to introduce a system for individuals and businesses with debts to the state to reach a settlement, but also in regard to what is going on with the tax system, which appears to be subject to constant changes and decision reversals.
The fact is that the confusion surrounding such important issues comes on top of the market’s serious cash flow problems and creates a chaotic environment that is having a catastrophic impact on public coffers.
The government must waste no more time in getting its plan together and clarifying the rules so that citizens and businesses can organize their finances and make decisions about the future.
Adding to the confusion are a succession of leaks from government officials concerning issues such as the reform of the tax system and debts to the state, which have shaken the market even further and must be stopped.
