PAPAGOS IN TURKEY: Ankara, 19 – At 4 p.m. a communique was issued containing the conclusions of successive talks in Ankara between Greek and Turkish leaders. The text of the communique is as follows: «His Excellency Field Marshal Papagos, Prime Minister of Greece, having accepted an invitation from the Turkish government, made an official visit to Ankara between June 17 and June 19, accompanied by Mrs Papagos and a delegation including Foreign Minister Stephanos Stephanopoulos and Minister to the Prime Minister Mr Sifnaios. (…) The distinguished guests from Greece had talks with President of the Turkish Republic Mr Jelal Bayar and further meetings with Prime Minister Adnan Menderes and Foreign Minister Fuat Kioprulu (…). The Turkish and Greek leaders noted that there were no issues between the two countries that could not be resolved easily for the good of both countries and in the light of and under the auspices of solidarity and close cooperation which are dictated by those interests (…).» HOLARGOS: It has been more than 20 years since the district of Holargos was built and yet it still does not have the facilities necessary for a residential area, with neither roads, squares nor sufficient lighting. ON SIKELIANOS: «The Poetry of Angelos Sikelianos» is the title of a radio program to be broadcast today at 6.30 p.m. by Cleon Paraschos. The discussion will be accompanied by a reading of Sikelianos’s poems.
