Lessons from the waterfront

Greece could become an altogether different country if it had a credible state sector and a few serious politicians.

Chinese shipping giant Cosco made a major investment at the port of Piraeus, Greece’s largest, turning part of the docking area into an islet of productivity in a very short period of time.

Whenever it gets the chance, the Chinese company praises its Greek employees for the high-standard of work that they do.

The Chinese are now making new additional investments in Greece, reconfirming the trust they have placed in the country.

There could be more major investments of this type coming our way, on the condition that we don’t push it away in advance, but instead offer a stable and safe political, tax and working environment to those willing to bring their money to Greece and conduct business here.
