The agenda focused on accelerating the speed of work on both of these streets. The Electric Transport Company was asked to set a specific date for the trolley buses to begin circulation and to specify when exactly the tramlines will be removed. KARAMANLIS’S FORCE OF CHARACTER: Public Works Minister Constantine Karamanlis has told representatives of the transport company that if the trams are not withdrawn from circulation by the time the two streets are completed, the tramlines will be removed. Karamanlis said that the works being done in Athens should indicate that in Greece it is possible for good public works to be carried out speedily.
