Greek-Chinese cooperation

The upcoming visits to Greece by Chinese President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Keqiang confirm the excellent relations between Greece and China. Greece is one of China’s greatest friends in the European Union and both sides are benefiting from their strategic cooperation. This is especially true at a time of international instability and uncertainty.

For our country, China’s interest in investing here is especially significant, as Beijing has already shown in practice that it wants to contribute to the revival of the Greek economy.

The Chinese prime minister is expected here on June 19, with the president following in mid-July. Talks between the two countries’ prime ministers are expected to include Chinese interest in privatization projects, such as the Piraeus and Thessaloniki ports, as well as a series of bilalteral trade agreements.
