Revising the rule book
The revision of the Greek Constitution is a top priority on the national agenda.
It is also the kind of process for which the coalition government ought to enlist the best people available in the country.
It is encouraging to observe that the proposals put forward by the conservative New Democracy party with regards to changes in the Constitution come across as cutting-edge suggestions of substance.
Following years of recession, what the Greek people are expecting from the political system which represents them is sweeping changes of the kind which will demonstrate that things are really changing in the country and the Constitution revision discussion is not another case of “business as usual.”
The revision of the Greek Constitution is a very serious matter and an opportunity that should not go to waste.
