Out of control

The level of discourse and the extremism displayed in the opinions expressed by certain government deputies have become a source of major concern with regard to whether or not the current administration is capable of managing the ongoing negotiations with the country’s partners and lenders.

The points of view expressed, the arrogant wording and the extremely divisive language demonstrate that, even if he wants a realistic compromise, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will find it very hard to implement.

It is now evident that a considerable number of ministers, members of Parliament and party officials are doing everything in their power to sabotage any possible turn toward realism and knock the country off its European course.

As time goes by it is becoming clearer that no one is in any position to control the current coalition’s extremist elements.
