No time for games

The days ahead are not only going to be critical but also very dramatic for Greece, and more specifically for the the Greek people.

As Greece’s foreign creditors and eurozone peers Monday turned up the pressure to “high,” it became clear that the government will have to make some extremely painful decisions which will define the country’s course in the years, if not decades, to come.

There is no more room for hesitation. Even more importantly, no one has the right to play with the fate of the Greek people.

Greeks are extremely concerned by developments and want to see the SYRIZA-led government coming to a deal that will both ensure that the country remains in the common currency area and prevent a further and more rapid decline in the economy,

This is no time for the government to practice its negotiations skills, to try to steal the show and to take steps that are simply dividing rather than uniting the country.
