OPINION

Moment of truth

Greece is entering extremely dangerous and uncharted waters.

It has become undeniably evident that the government’s irrational behavior and poor handling of very serious matters have brought relations between Athens and the European Union to a particularly low point.

The country’s prime minister, SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras, bears the lion’s share of responsibility in this case.

If a deal is not sealed between Greece and its creditors on Monday evening, the kind of repercussions that the cash-strapped country will face will be nothing short of catastrophic.

There is no more room left for any kind of evasiveness – the current state of affairs and all the facts are now out in the open.

The moment of truth and duty for Prime Minister Tsipras has well and truly arrived.
