Election chatter

Politicians that insist in stirring the issue of early elections are clearly aiming at leading the country to disaster.

One of the reasons why the crisis is persisting in Greece – as opposed to other European countries that succeeded in implementing strict adjustment programs – has to do with political instability and uncertainty.

Greek politicians are prone to making plenty of promises to voters and are always in a rush to rise to power, completely oblivious of the harsh reality.

Since the crisis hit in early 2009 there has never been any real consensus in Greece. But no country is capable of standing on its feet and earning the trust of the market and investors if elections are held every so often.

Ruling SYRIZA is clearly facing a major problem within its party and the country has already lost six months because of the party failing to settle its internal differences, something that has led to disastrous results.
