EMIGRATION: (Commentary in Kathimerini) – Thousands of young Greeks are submitting applications to emigrate. Some want to go to Australia, others to Brazil and to the four corners of the earth. Do all these people who want to leave this country know where they are going? Do they know what they will find when they get there? Has anyone thought to inform them beforehand – for this export of Greek souls toward the unknown is not a pleasant phenomenon or one that we can ignore as it is taking place before our very eyes. IOANNIS ZIGDIS: Washington, 12 – Greek Parliamentary Deputy Mr Ioannis Zigdis was received yesterday as a foreign guest of the US Congress. Mr Zigdis was introduced to the other members of Congress by a Democratic senator. ANGELOS PROKOPIOU’S VOLTAIRE: Athens radio station’s National Program is to broadcast a one-act play by Angelos Prokopiou titled «Voltaire and European Taste during the Enlightenment.» The actors in order of appearance are: Elsa Vergi as the Marquise De Pompadour, G. Papas as Voltaire and Rita Myrat as the Marquise de Chatelet.
