PAPAGOS IN BELGIUM: Brussels, 28 – The Greek prime minister, Field Marshal Alexandros Papagos, laid a wreath this morning at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Brussels (…). Tomorrow morning, the field marshal will be received by King Baudouin of Belgium. ACTING PRIME MINISTER MARKEZINIS: The acting prime minister and minister for coordination, Mr Spyros Markezinis, went to the Palace yesterday and was received by the king (Pavlos). It was announced that Mr Markezinis briefed the king on the foreign and domestic situation, particularly developments in the implementation of the government’s economic policy. KOLOKOTRONIS: The bronze statue of «The Old Man of the Morea» (Theodoros Kolokotronis) was yesterday removed from its former position and transferred by crane to the forecourt of the Old Parliament House, where it is to remain. SOCCER: Yesterday afternoon, the second leg of the Greek Cup was played at the Panathinaikos Stadium between AEK and Astir, which won the game, with one goal in the second minute of the first half by Loizidis.
