Too soon to tell
The election of Donald Trump to the presidency of the United States will most certainly trigger a period of uncertainty, both in financial markets and in the arena of global geopolitics.
America’s new role in Europe and in the Eastern Mediterranean, as well as the relationship that the Trump administration will forge with Russia and Turkey are very difficult to predict.
The Greek government needs to be wary and not jump to any conclusions. It needs to remain serious and to plan for every eventuality if it wants to spare the country any unpleasant surprises that may be in store after such a significant change in circumstances.
