Public security at risk

Greece is facing a major public security issue. Responsibility for this lies exclusively with the current government, its left-wing obsessions and its managerial inefficiency.

Laxity seems to be the order of the day; this was observed at the National Technical University of Athens recently and the administration’s policies regarding the country’s correctional system. Meanwhile, incidents of out-of-control violence going unpunished are escalating.

A new generation is being raised to display extreme behavior, including young refugees and migrants, judging from Greek police statements.

As the perception that anything goes in this country becomes even more firmly established, we are bound to experience increasingly violent and dangerous behavior that will come at a great cost.

The government neither wishes nor is able to provide a solution.

When it comes to public safety, what it will be passing on to the next administration is scorched earth – literally.
