Flawed education

International student assessments never fail to reflect the poor state of Greece’s education system. In a recent test organized by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Greek pupils scored below average in science, math and reading.

It was not the first time that Greek pupils have failed to impress, and it won’t be the last as long as the political class insists on attributing their failure to the format of the test rather than the flaws of Greece’s education system.

Greek politicians and unionists are obviously not moved by the fact that Greek pupils lack fundamental skills in meeting the challenges of real life.
