KARAMANLIS IN A RAGE: Tripolis, 24 – Public Works Minister Mr Constantine Karamanlis, who has just completed a tour of the southern Peloponnese, has announced that during his tour of inspection of works in progress, he was not completely satisfied with the pace of work, particularly regarding road repair. «This is due on the one hand to poor weather,» he said, «but it is mainly because of the incompetence of the contractors.» The minister actually withdrew the contractors on the Tripolis- Kalamata and Tripolis-Sparta roads, ordered the cancellation of their permits and then assigned the rest of the work to other contractors who have shown themselves to be more efficient. OLYMPIAKOS WIN: The Olympiakos soccer team won the Greek Cup for the fourth year in a row, after its defeat of Doxa Drama 2-0. The goals were scored by Drosos and Darivas. MORAL DEGRADATION: A resolution was issued yesterday by the General Confederation of Greek Labor (GSEE), asking for measures to fight unemployment which «threatens the country due to the material and moral degradation of a considerable sector of the population.»
