Too much tolerance

Perhaps the time has come to do away with guarding diplomatic missions and residences in Greece. Authorities’ tolerance of attacks has canceled out the need for a police presence.

It is not about someone doing or not doing their job properly. It’s that officers are influenced by the relaxed stance of their superiors in the face of repeated attacks. They also know they won’t get any cover if they react differently. And the results of this attitude are clear.
