CAT SCANS: Dr Georgios K. Prinos, due to his paper on «The Theoretical Foundations and Practical Applications of Computed Axial Tomography (Three-Dimensional Tomography)» and subsequent successful examinations, has been granted a doctorate in medicine at the University of Erlangen in West Germany. HOW BIG IS OUR ARMY TO BE? According to reliable sources, a group of NATO experts is expected to arrive from Paris by air today for the purpose of speeding up the US government’s reply to a memorandum from the prime minister, Field Marshal Alexandros Papagos, regarding the numerical force and the composition of the Greek army. The Greek government’s request for a speedy reply by the US was recently sent to Washington, and was dictated by the need to draft the budget for the coming fiscall year 1954-55. SPIES EXECUTED: At 5 p.m. yesterday, the Bulgarians A. Milev or Siromahov and Petko Chanov were executed at Dafni about 800 meters northwest of the church of Aghia Triada. They had been sentenced to death last year by an Athens military court for espionage. Their requests for appeal and reprieve were rejected.
