KARAMANLIS PROJECTS: Public Works Minister Mr Constantine Karamanlis has signed a decision announcing a competition for the best design for landscaping the area around the Acropolis between the Sacred Rock itself, the Herod Atticus Theater, Philopappou Hill and the Observatory. The purpose of the competition is to find the best way to highlight the area’s many features of archaeological and tourist interest. The competition is restricted to Greek architects.
