Expectations more than fulfilled
What happened to the famous Greek philotimo and pride, known worldwide? All Greek Americans awaited anxiously to see the Olympics open, nervously reserving our expectations for that night and the works and deeds of the Greek people. With tears running down our cheeks, with great pride, we watched for four hours til the wee hours of the night. Well, our expectations and pride were fulfilled, ballooned, and almost burst. The magnificence, the acts, the stories, the scenery and precision was much, much more than I expected. My congratulations to all of you; you deserve a gold medal.
