Legitimate protests
It is unfortunate that Kathimerini chose to label Greeks who protested at the recent Macedonian rally as «far-rightists and nationalists» (November 8, «Unity sought on FYROM»). Why does the newspaper feel it can disparage Greeks attending these protests to defend what is rightly theirs? Like these protesters, the global diaspora has already started its protest and will soon take to the streets. Once again, the diaspora will put the «Greek» political establishment to shame because of its inaction and ineptness. I wonder if Kathimerini will also label us, the Greeks abroad, «far-rightists and nationalists» for our protests? GEORGE BOUGIAS, Melbourne, Australia.
