The ‘truth’ regarding anti-Semitic Greek attitudes today

Costas Iordanidis’s article «Groundless Allegations» (Jan. 10) on the issues of anti-Semitism in Greece left me with one question. Does he really live in Greece? I’ve lived here for 12 years and see the daily verbal persecution of Jews. As one small example, just ask any Greek who really attacked the World Trade Center, and more likely than not, you’ll hear that the Jews did it and that the Jews were told to stay home that day from work. But, again, if you ask those same Greeks if they saw the list of people who died (which included Jewish names) at the World Trade Center, they will say that they have not. Based on my personal experiences, I find the US State Department report quite accurate. RALPH LANDRY, Argyroupolis.
