POPULAR THEATER: A number of performances unprecedented since the revival of classical masterpieces in ancient Greek amphitheaters are being staged over the coming month. In Athens, travel agencies and excursion groups are preparing to enjoy a wonderful spectacle, particularly Euripides’ «Hecuba,» Sophocles’ «Oedipus Rex» and Euripides’ «Hippolytus.» The first tragedy will be performed on Sunday, June 19. ZOLOTAS: This morning the governor of the Bank of Greece, Mr Xenophon Zolotas, left by air for Basel, Switzerland, accompanied by the bank’s economic adviser, Mr Ioannis Pesmazoglou.
