Changing or changed?
Your editorial «A changing world» (February 18) touched a very interesting and important issue in which Greece lags behind. In the field of competition free of governmental meddling and coupled with regulatory control. However, the world did not change now – in some places it changed long ago. One must observe that you present Europe as a vanguard in competition, followed by the rest of the Western world. You forget that the socialist governments of the European countries are still privatizing at snail’s pace. On the other hand, the United States has already dismantled monopolies and adopted regulations that have resulted to the benefit of the consumer.Needless to say, you must be commended for raising the issue.
