EISENHOWER AND HELLENISM: Washington, 1 – A ceremony was held here yesterday to mark the completion of the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Aghia Sophia, and was attended by US President Dwight D. Eisenhower, along with many American and Greek officials. The president and Mrs Eisenhower laid the final stone, behind which was placed a manuscript detailing the history of the new church and other important documents. SOPHIA LOREN IN ATHENS: The American producer of the film »Boy on a Dolphin,» Mr Sam Engel, gave a lovely dinner dance the night before last at the Hotel Grande Bretagne for the Italian star of the film, Ms Sophia Loren… Among the guests were the Italian ambassador and Mrs Caruso, the consul from the Italian Embassy and Baroness Catalano, the US Embassy secretary and Mrs Richardson, Katina Paxinou, Alexis Minotis, Professor and Mrs Hadzikyriakou-Ghika and Alexandros Lykourezos. KRISHNAMURTI: This evening the Indian philosopher Krishnamurti will give a speech at the Parnassos Philology Society. LAND PLOTS IN KIFISSIA: Land plots are for sale in installments within Kifissia (at the end of Pesmazoglou Street), with water, electricity and the telephone network laid down.
