SOLOMOS CENTENARY: The centenary of the death of the national poet Dionysis Solomos is to be marked on February 25 at the Gymnastics Academy. Speeches are to be made and Solomos’s poems are to be recited by National Theater actors Eleni Nenedaki, Thanos Kotsopoulos and Stelios Vokovits. Among interesting excerpts from the February issue of the magazine Eklogi are Italian sonnets by our national poet. The 10 first sonnets in the series «Rimae Improvisate» are translated by Mr I.
