WALTER GROPIUS: According to the US Information Service, the famous American architect Walter Gropius is expected in Greece tomorrow to meet with Greek colleagues in order to discuss plans for a new US Embassy building in Athens. ITALIAN FISHERMEN: Corfu, 8 – Twenty-three Italian fishermen, crew members of four fishing boats caught illegally fishing for lobster, were acquitted today by a local court which took into consideration the dire poverty of all the accused. The four boats were directed to leave Greek waters immediately this afternoon. Meanwhile in Rome, the ANSA news agency reported that shots were fired from the Albanian coast at an Italian fishing boat yesterday, killing one of the crew members. Currents had swept the boat toward the Albanian coast. GYMNASTICS PERFORMANCES: The annual show of gymnastic routines by high school pupils is to take place this afternoon in the Panathenaic Stadium in the presence of officials from the Education Ministry. About 4,000 children are to take part in a program that includes floor exercises, track races and folk dances, while a choir of 400 pupils will sing.
