SIBELIUS: Helsinki, 20 – The famous Finnish composer Jan Sibelius died at his home here this evening. Considered one of the greatest composers of our century, he suffered a stroke at the age of 92 after retiring from public life to his estate where he had spent the past 20 years. SAN MARINO: 20 – A few carabinieri and national guards dressed in Napoleonic uniforms are patrolling the streets of San Marino and guarding the government house and the offices of the ruling coalition after a sudden political crisis in this tiny republic of 15,000 people, which is under Communist rule. In view of the elections scheduled for November 3, election posters and pamphlets have begun to appear. The two leaders of the government, one a Communist and one a Socialist, announced the dissolution of the 60-member parliament shortly before a session in which the Christian Democrat opposition would probably have succeeded in overturning the government because of the departure of six deputies from the governing coalition. ASIAN FLU: Greece is experiencing a second wave of the Asian flu epidemic which has now reached a very broad scale. There are no official statistics of the number of people infected.
