STATISTICS: In Greece, only one home out of every seven has electricity, one in every 30 has the use of an electric stove and one in 20 has plumbing and a bathtub. KALOUDA SISTERS: Yesterday, the sisters Anna and Maria Kalouda left by air for Paris where on May 11 they are to give a recital of Greek songs at the Gallaud Theater. They will be performing along with N. Stavridis in a season of a major theatrical revue in Thessaloniki. LAVRION BY RAIL: According to an announcement by the SPAP company, as of next Thursday, May 1, the rail link between Piraeus, Athens and Lavrion will resume. (Ed. note: The line was discontinued in 1958.) There will be three departures every day, except for Sundays when there will be only one. THREE YEARS BEFORE THE VANDALISM: (From a commentary in Kathimerini): «Today the Greek people are preparing to welcome Turkish Prime Minister Menderes, Foreign Minister Kioprulu and the military leaders accompanying them in the spirit of what is already a strong Greek-Turkish friendship.»
