AMERICAN JAZZ: A photo exhibition on American jazz at the American Hall, 9 Venizelos Street, central Athens, is to open tomorrow at 6.30 p.m, in conjunction with a series of lectures and performances of American jazz by Tassos Valavanis, a composer and expert in the genre. The lectures will be held tomorrow, as well as March 5 and 12 at 8.30 p.m. in the USIS auditorium. The photographs in the exhibition are of famous jazz composers and musicians from the early years in New Orleans to the present, and trace the development of jazz in the United States. They include photos of famous artists such as Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman, Ella Fitzgerald, Woody Herman and others. GREECE-BULGARIA: Sofia radio, commenting on Greek-Bulgarian trade relations, expressed the desire of the Bulgarian government to further develop bilateral commercial ties and said that its efforts had led to smoother relations in this sector.
