Revenue raising measures
With reference to the article of July 2 titled «Property registry fee ‘unfair,’» this fee, in addition to being unconstitutional and unfair, also shows the government’s desperation to collect money from people any way they can. My wife and I own jointly our apartment, which includes a garage and storage room. The fee we must pay is 35 euros each for the apartment plus 20 euros each for the garage, plus 20 euros each for the storage room. The double payment makes no sense, nor does paying 35 euros for an entire apartment and 20 euros for a storage room of 7 square meters. FOTIS THEODORE, Kifissia.
