QUEEN FREDERIKI: Washington, 17 – According to an announcement from the Greek Embassy here in the capital of the United States of America, Queen Frederiki will attend an official dinner at the White House on October 23. The French ocean liner on which she will be traveling will be met off the American coast by Greek diplomats. The air force attache will be her aide-de-camp during her stay in the USA. On October 28, Queen Frederiki will attend a service at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New York City and receive representatives of Greek Orthodox associations for meetings while she is in the USA. Upon leaving Washington, she will be touring the country separately from her husband, Crown Prince Constantine, who, as the guest of the US defense secretary, will be visiting military academies and other institutions. The queen, accompanied by the princesses Sofia and Irene, will travel by train. They will only travel by air from New York to Washington. BRITISH IN CYPRUS: The National Council of Greek Women, the Lyceum of Greek Women, the YWCA and other women’s groups have issued a protest against British acts of vandalism against Cypriot people.
