The strong hand of business
Now more than ever, Greece needs to see dynamic entrepreneurs and visionary business owners who will take control and solve the myriad problems that the state and the country’s politicians appear to be unable to solve on their own. One such example of the business world taking the initiative is the interest shown by private parties in the debt-ridden national carrier Olympic Airlines. Olympic is a company that can no longer continue to operate on its own. It is an airline that desperately needs a strong private hand at the controls. However, for this plan to work, the deal must be negotiated in concise and crystal-clear terms and any future business plan drawn up to salvage the ailing carrier should be succinct. One thing is certain: This country can benefit to a much greater extent right now from businessmen with courage and determination than it can from politicians who are too busy focusing on increasing their own political capital.
