NEHRU: New Delhi – Speaking before the country’s parliament yesterday, Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru denied reports that the Chinese had established military bases on Indian territory in Ladakh but said Chinese military forces had been observed on the Sikkim-Tibet border. The parliamentary session was heated and the Communists walked out of the auditorium. In Bombay, demonstrators waving black flags called for the resignation of Krishna Menon, India’s defense minister. The police were called in to break up the crowd. DASSIN-MELINA: A government financial committee has approved the grant of a loan to Melina Mercouri for the production of a film in Greece, to be directed by Jules Dassin. GREECE-EEC: Talks begin in Brussels tomorrow between the Greek delegation and the European Economic Community’s committee regarding Greece’s relationship with the Common Market. Greece is the first country that is to be linked with the Common Market. The talks will be of an exploratory nature and will be aimed at determining the details of the form and content of the agreement being sought.
