Athens Mayor Doukas to unveil political ambitions on Sunday

Athens Mayor Haris Doukas stated in an interview with ANT1 TV channel on Thursday that he will announce his plan for the country at PASOK’s central committee, on Sunday.
“In the central committee, I will announce my decisions and my plan for the country,” said Doukas, adding that “from the era of survival, we must move to the era of growth.”
Doukas also vowed not to abandon the mayorship of Athens “in any development, I will not abandon the municipality of Athens,” he said, highlighting that he was voted by citizens of all backgrounds.
Doukas comments come after he hinted that he plans to run for the leadership of the Socialist PASOK party in a social media post earlier on Thursday.
