?Guerrilla Seminars? for budding photographers, filmmakers

A new arrival on the capital?s art scene, New School Athens is launching a series of intensive classes in photography and filmmaking, in three languages.

Dubbed ?Guerrilla Seminars,? the classes run for 12 to 48 hours during the weekends and have flexible schedules. They are conducted in Greek, English and French.

They are addressed to photographers of all ages and levels of skill, and conducted by leading photographers and filmmakers, including Yannis Bournias, Yorgis Yerolymbos, Nikos Myrtou, Nikos Karanikolas, Panos Kokkinias, Yannis Kontos, Nikandre Koukoulioti, Pigi Konstantinou, Yorgos Malekakis, Kamilo Nollas, Petros Sofikitis, Marilena Stafylidou, Pavlos Symeon and Alexandros Voutsas.

The program for this series of Guerrilla Seminars includes an introduction to photography, image processing (Photoshop and digital ?darkroom?), fine art, event, architecture, outdoor, fashion, photojournalism and wedding photography, as well as portfolio creation and Intellectual property rights.

The video and filming seminars last 12 to 48 hours and include an introduction to video, producing a two-minute short in one week, as well as creative wedding photography and cinematography.

New School Athens operates in cooperation with the Swedish Berghs School of Communication and the Bilder Nordic School of Photography in Norway.
