Greek American wins California primary

Greek American Eleni Kounalakis scored the highest in the primary on Wednesday for lieutenant governor of California.

Kounalakis, a Democrat, garnered 23.4 percent of the vote, ahead of Ed Hernandez with 20.8 percent. Both will proceed to the general election in November.
