Elena Isinbayeva upset her fellow Russian and world recordholder Svetlana Feofanova to win the pole vault at the international meet staged yesterday at the brand-new indoor arena at Paeania, east of Athens. Isinbayeva cleared 4.65 meters to Feofanova’s 4.60. Other winners included Ukraine’s Zhanna Block in the 60-meter, in 7.13 seconds, Jamaica’s Sandie Richards in the 400 meters, in 52.39 seconds, and, among the men, Serbia’s Dragutin Topic in the high jump, with 2.33 meters.
