Iraklis set to sell Vellios to Everton

Iraklis soccer club announced on January 28 it has accepted a bid by English Premier League side Everton for striker Apostolos Vellios.

Reports suggest the 19-year-old will undergo a medical test at Everton before signing a three-and-a-half-year contract with the Toffees, earning Iraklis some 300,000 euros.

Former Bolton player Stelios Giannakopoulos, currently the head of the professional soccer players? union, said this constitutes a great move for Vellios. ?Everything now depends on him, how far he wants to go,? Giannakopoulos said.

Iraklis is hosting Kerkyra on January 29 for the 20th round of the Super League. The evening?s other games are Xanthi vs AEK and Panathinaikos vs Ergotelis.

On January 30 it is Atromitos vs Asteras, Panionios vs Kavala, Larissa vs Panserraikos, Olympiakos Volou vs Olympiakos Piraeus and Aris vs PAOK.
