Aris announced on December 26 it has lent Toni Calvo to Serie A side Parma for the next six months.
The Spanish midfielder was notorious for his nightlife in Thessaloniki in the last few months of the three and a half years he spent at Aris since moving to Greece in the summer of 2007.
Manager Hector Raul Cuper had sidelined Calvo, so his loan deal is probably the best solution for everyone involved, although earlier reports had linked Calvo with an exchange deal with AEK’s Leonardo.
Parma will have a buy-out option at the end of the loan period, in summer 2011, Aris confirmed.
Calvo featured in 117 matches with Aris and scored 18 goals, enjoying three good seasons at the Kleanthis Vikelidis stadium.
