Larissa dumps Aliadiere, signs Kozak

The transfer of French striker Jeremie Aliadiere may have fallen through, but Larissa sealed its acquisition of Slovak midfielder Jan Kozak on January 27, the Thessaly club announced.

Aliadiere failed a fitness test on January 27 and Larissa withdrew its offer to sign the ex-Arsenal and Middlesbrough striker, as it decided that signing him would entail a considerable risk.

However, the struggling Super League side confirmed the arrival of Slovak international Kozak, who had also had a spell at West Brom in England five years ago.

Kozak signed a contract until the end of the season with Larissa.

He has 25 caps and has scored twice for Slovakia.
