Olympiakos beats Valencia 85-79 in Spain

Olympiakos took a massive step towards making the quarter finals of the Euroleague after beating Valencia 85-79 in a tense game in Spain on February 17.

The win means that the Reds are now tied in first place with Fenerbahce Ulker after both teams scored three wins and one defeat in four games in Group H.

The two leaders meet in Turkey next week.

In Spain, Olympiakos showed coolness under pressure to tip the balance in its favor in the final minutes after the two sides had exchanged the lead numerous times.

Vassilis Spanoulis scored 18 points and Rasho Nesterovic chipped in with a very valuable 16 points.
