Javi Gracia was presented on June 8 as the new manager of Europa League debutant Olympiakos Volou.
It will be the first time the former Cadiz and Villarreal B coach has worked with a non-Spanish club.
“I am proud to take part in an ambitious plan. I will give everything for Olympiakos Volou,» Gracia said in his presentation.
“It is hard for a coach to leave his country, but the interest that the officials of this club have shown in me won me over,» he added.
According to reports in Spain, Olympiakos Piraeus technical director Eduardo Macia helped to broker the agreement between the Volos club and the 41-year-old manager.
