One after another, Olympiakos players leave

Olympiakos is continuing to lose one player after another as Loukas Mavrokefalidis and Yiannis Bourousis joined clubs in Russia and Italy respectively.

While relieved to hear that the Angelopoulos brothers will retain for one more year the reins of the club they own, expecting to find a buyer in the meantime, the team?s fans are worried at the shrinking of the roster.

Yiannis Bourousis was released a few days earlier by Olympiakos and on July 9 was signed by Armani Milano, the Italian side that has also signed Greece skipper Antonis Fotsis.

Bourousis will be presented with a two-year contract valued at 3 million euros.

Mavrokefalidis agreed to a contract worth 1.2 million euros with Spartak Saint Petersburg, which offered him 400,000 euros more than the proposal by Olympiakos.

Bourousis and Mavrokefalidis have followed Yotam Halperin, Jamon Gordon and Milos Teodosic on their way out of the Greek Cup holder.
